Played here on Wednesday. Fun course with a fair number of obstacles but not unmanageable. Great pro shop service. Great course pace. Will be playing here on future visits.

Ok, I went back to Lake Michigan Hill golf course, and everything went off well. Ground crews were savvy about etiquette on the course, and course play really well. I retract my previous 3 and give them a solid 4. Cheers!!!!

Played there yesterday. Nice challenging course but.... Mostly the ranger, I think he went by "gibby" ruined the back 9 for us. My son, son-in-law, and I are decent golfers, observe rules, and play at a good pace. None of us have ever had a problem on the courses we've played. We don't know why, but "Gibby" began to follow us and watch our every stroke on #11. Each time we selected a club, we'd look around and sure enough Gibby'd be near by watching. On several occaisions he threw balls to my feet out of nowhere. The more he followed, the harder it became to enjoy myself. I lost composure and began to swing like a beginner. Finally we confronted him asking if there was a problem or if our pace was too slow. He said no, he was just trying to help us out, then said he laid down some balls for us "up there". We'd all had decent drives and told him we didn't want or need any more balls. He finally got the message and backed off, but by then, for me, the outing was shot. In general, the grounds crew was too busy on this course. Someone seemed to be working on every hole and little was done to give the golfers "space" . While on the driving range, a mower came within a foot (yes 12 inches) of my son-in-law spraying him w fresh cut damp clippings. On several holes' workers lit up smokes and observed as we went by. One grounds crew member was texting on her cell phone right next to the green while we approached. I just felt as though we were interrupting their routine by playing golf. Anyway, this is a nice, challenging course. It was fairly well kept (some rough spots), and the greens were really difficult in a good way! The staff was either too attentive or bored, not sure how to call it. We were moving along at a good clip (played 18 in 4 1/4 hours. That darn Gibby!!! Won't play here again.
